Thanks a lot to our German friends Anke & Bernd Hamich and some of their friends, who have sponsored the flights of Linda Nteleza to Düsseldorf and enabled her participation in the Final Rounds. Next year’s competition will start with its qualifying rounds worldwide from January 2015.

The Final Rounds will start End of June in Amsterdam. The Finals Concert will be held on 4th July 2015 at Het Muziektheater Amsterdam, Netherlands.

35th International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition 2016
In 2016 the Final Rounds of the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition will take place for the first time in the Competition’s history outside of Europe: 2016 in Cape Town, South Africa.

Qualifying Rounds worldwide from Januar 2016. Final Rounds from early July 2016 at the South African College of Music - University of Cape Town.

My name is Lyuba Tatevosyan, I am a russian-armenian soprano. I graduated from the Moscow State Linguistic University in 2010, actually I am a student at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, so I can sing and express my feelings in 5 languages: italian, french, english, russian and armenian.

Dear sirs!

I am Ruben Shushardzhan and have 2 higher educations. I'm opera singer and also have doctor's degree in medicine. I like my both professions very much.
I am the winner of several Vocal Competitions, including the International Vocal Competition named after A.Ivanov in 2011.
I have prepared three opera parties and  have an experience of successful performances in different countries, including performances with a symphonic orchestra. In 2013 it was a successful debut of mine at the Saratov Opera House in the Party of Venetian Guest  (Rimsky-Korsakov, opera "Sadko").
It is an honour  to participate at the Belvedere Singing Competition 2014, because it is one of the most important and famous Vocal Competitions over the world which gives good opportunity to  young talanted singers to make an international career.

Frankly my most ardent desire is to win the Belvedere Singing Competition 2014 and become the soloist of Vienna Opera House.

Hi. my name is Francesco Toso. I am baritone. I were born in Rovigo. I am qualified in clarinet and lyric song. I have studied with the soprano Mara Zampieri, with the legendary bass-baritone Tom Krause in Salzburg and now I study with the great baritone Bruno Praticò.

Hello my name is Steponas Zonys. I am from Lithuania. I study at Klaipeda University arts faculty. At this moment its my second year of bachelor studies.

I am participating in "Belvedere competition" because it is a great competition for beginners to sign a contract and etc. and also to meet other wonderful singers from other countries

I want to sing in many opera houses, concert halls. I love when people are happy when I sing to them. Its very good feeling. Also I want to sing in the best opera houses like (Covent Garden, Metropolitan, Alla Scala etc.)

I also will sing in "Belvedere competition" finals. I will sing more Russian repertoire. Tchaikovsky music is very delicate and now I am practising more of interpretation, not only technically.

Qualifying Round at Akademia Muzyczna im. Stanisława Moniuszki in Gdansk, Poland, on 12 April

It was the first time that the Belvedere Singing Competition organizes a qualifying round in Gdansk, Poland. 

13 singers had applied, two of them qualified for the Final Rounds at the Deutsche Opera am Rhein in Düsseldorf: Soprano Aleksandra Kubas-Kruk and Baritone Lukasz Motkowicz. 

Congratulations especially to this two singers, but to all participants as well.

My name is Lisa Algozzini and I am an Italian American soprano from Los Angeles living in Vienna. The Belvedere Singing Competition gives me the chance to be heard by top opera professionals, and that is so valuable for singers on the brink of their careers.

I am so passionate about opera, so my goal is to always connect with my audience by completely transforming into the roles I perform. I have had the amazing opportunity to work with wonderful people during my training like Renata Scotto, Dolora Zajick, Plácido Domingo and Julius Rudel as well as attending institutions like The Juilliard School and the Aspen Music Festival. These experiences have allowed me to develop into an artist that has the technical skills to follow opera's rich traditions while also being a strong performer.

Hi,

I'm Nico Darmanin a tenor born in the heart of the Mediterranean - Malta. I've heard of the Belvedere Singing Competition since I started my classical training and have always wishes to participate once I felt ready to do so! 

One of my idols Joseph Calleja was a winner of this competition years ago and today is one of the leading tenors in the world who is also Maltese.

I wish to sing because my voice is the instrument I know best how to communicate with. I wish to make music with others and hopefully move audiences with my interpretations. I hope to achieve and be one of the best in the interpretation of Rossini and Mozartian repertoire.

Beginning as a pianist and harpist musician, it took me time to found my real direction and my voice.So after studying in Italy the vocal technique, I also obtained my First Prize in the National Conservatory of Nice. I decided to "earn my leaving"as an lyric artist but because I started singing very late, I begun with Chorus auditions (Paris Bastille,Capitole of Toulouse, Monte-Carlo, Nice and Marseille) and succeeded in all!

Of course my real dream was to sing as a soloist,going further into my professional life I understood that the Competitions where important to permit me to know my position in the Lyric World (Montserrat Caballe International Singing Competition-Semi-Finalist-2013).

My participation at the International Hans Gabor Belvedere singing competition is important to follow my believes, firstly as this competiton is known worldwide, also to perform for an International Jury and to successfully rich the final round!

My most ardent desire is to live a life filled with music, and be able to move people with my singing. I dream of a career on stage, and I am working hard to fulfil that dream of becoming a great artist.

Platz, da ich durch ihn beispielsweise die Möglichkeit bekommen habe, im Covent Garden in London und in der Deutschen Oper in Berlin bald mein Debüt zu feiern. Im Covent Garden werde ich im September der Spielzeit 2014/15 Giuseppe Verdis „Rigoletto“ interpretieren.  Ja, der Preis ist eine sehr große Ehre für mich.“

I am striving for truth, beauty and goodness and find this especially in music which is a part of my life. Thus, I cannot imagine a life without music and without singing. 

It is a big honor for me to participate in this incredible International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition with such a high level of performance, where I believe the best of the best will compete. I cannot wait until the moment when I will be able to show off my talent and learn a lot of new things as well as being able to engage in a new experience. 

I see my future in music and want to become a professional musician. My biggest dream is to learn how to sing on such a high level where the audience won't judge me from a technical aspect such as the technique of voice leading or sound production but rather understand the message that I am trying to relay by singing.
