I have decided to participate in International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition this year because it is great to share my love for singing with other people!

I would like to meet the marvelous Renata Tebaldi who dedicated her whole life to singing on the stage and made many of her admirers so happy with her music.

In 5 years… well I hope to see more of our world, and hear new voices and listen to new music!

#Belvedere2015 - #ParticipantsInTheSpotlight - Diana Volkova, Mezzo-Soprano, Russia

Photo made available by the singer.
Hello, my dear Hans Gabor Belvedere Competition!!!

I expect from my participation at Belvedere Singing Competition a lot of good impressions and at least some chances for my career.

An artist who gives me always an example, is Great Ballet Dancer Rudolf Nurriev. I respect and  admire him not only as an artist, but also as very strong, disciplined and purposeful person. At that day, when I first time read about him, I've understood, that I want to have the same willpower like he had.

And I know that in four, five or six years, through my energy and luck I'll be everywhere.

Yours

Diana Volkova, mezzo-soprano, 25 years old.

#Belvedere2015 - #ParticipantsInTheSpotlight - Niko Gjorgievski, Tenor, Macedonia

The reason I entered the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition is to gain experience, to present myself in the world of Opera, and of course, the fact that there are so many amazing opportunities!

After my graduation as a Bachelor of Music in Voice performance, this is the first Opera competition I'm taking participation in, and, of course I'm very excited to be a part of.

I'd very much like to meet Juan Diego Flórez. I think he needs no introduction in the world of Opera, and why I'd like to meet this Great singer is also self-explanatory. „smile“-Emoticon

Me in 5 years... let me check with my time machine. „smile“-Emoticon I'd like to see myself in the best place for my artistic expression and spiritual fulfillment - the almighty THEATER. Wherever. Every audience is an audience.

Niko Gjorgievski, Tenor, 27, Macedonia.

The reason why I did apply to Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Comeptition is because I think I am ready to compete with the level and singers that this competition is standing for.

I am 23 years old and think it´s time for me to try my luck. This is going to be my first competition ever and I am honoured to be a part of it. I really admire Olga Borodina´s technic and her breath support. Her phrasing ist more than amazing and her top leaves one breathless. I would like to have an opportunity just to speak with her and maybe get some tipps.  Me in 5 years: hmm that´s a hard question. I would say, ask me in 5 years :)

Guten Tag,

The experience and exposure that is granted to a young singer through the Hans Gabor Belvedère Singing Competition is unparalleled in the world of opera.

A soprano that I really admire and would like to meet is Dorothea Röschmann. Her vocal technique and acting prowess display what a true well-rounded artist should be.

By 2020 I would like to have gained more performance experience not just to enrich myself as a performer but to share my experience with other singers and the audience in my home country.

Hello from Montreal! My name is Cairan Ryan, I am a Canadian baritone, and I am extremely excited to participate in the 2015 competition. I was at the 2012 competition in Vienna and the standard was very high. I'm excited to have the chance to sing for agents, companies and conductors in Europe through the competition.

If I were on a flight, sitting next to any singer I admire, it would be Mr. Simon Keenlyside. He is one of my role models, and it would be fascinating to hear some of his stories. I'd love to pick his brain about the art form.

In five years (crossing fingers) I hope to be continuing singing for a living, so I can do what I love, and give something back to the world.

It offers prizes and opportunities that are potentially life changing. I feel very lucky just being part of the 2015 competition.
